• Step 1 – Open the cover and turn on the unit
• Step 2 – Select language, select Adult or Paediatric mode and attach pads to the patient
• Step 3 – Unit will analyse heart rate and rapidly charge ready to administer shock
• Step 4 – Press the shock button when it begins to flash, indicating a completed charge
• Step 5 – Administer CPR to the patient
